(3)The Prototype (Experiment 1006)
The first successful Bigger Bodies subject and the player character. Originally a Playtime Co. employee who was transformed against their will, the Prototype has been trapped inside the factory for decades.
Poppy
A sentient doll and one of Playtime Co.'s most iconic creations. Poppy serves as both guide and mystery throughout the chapters, with her true allegiance revealed in Chapter 5.
Huggy Wuggy
Playtime Co.'s flagship toy turned predator. A towering blue creature with razor-sharp teeth, Huggy Wuggy is one of the most dangerous experiments in the factory.

The massive abandoned toy factory that serves as the setting for all chapters. Built by Elliot Ludwig, the factory hides dark secrets beneath its colorful exterior.
Playcare
An underground orphanage hidden beneath the factory. Playcare was where Playtime Co. housed the children used in their experiments, disguised as a care facility.
Conditioning Wing
A new area in Chapter 5 where Playtime Co. prepared subjects for the Bigger Bodies process. Contains some of the chapter's most challenging puzzles.

Playtime Co.'s secret program to transfer human consciousness into toy bodies. The central conspiracy driving the entire Poppy Playtime storyline.
Hour of Joy
The catastrophic event where the toy experiments turned on their creators, killing most Playtime Co. employees. This event led to the factory's abandonment.
Monsters

A terrifying cat-like experiment that uses a red smoke sedative to incapacitate its victims. One of the most dangerous creatures in the factory.
DogDay
A dog-like experiment and former leader of the Smiling Critters. Once cheerful and protective, DogDay's fate in the factory is one of the most tragic in the series.
Game Mechanics

The player's primary tool — a backpack with extendable mechanical hands. Chapter 5 features all four hand types: Grabber, Pressure, Magnetic, and Conductive.
Save Points
Chapter 5's checkpoint system using in-world save stations. Understanding save point locations helps avoid losing progress after difficult sections.
