Gel Immersion Chamber Puzzle

A large exploration puzzle in the Reanimation area. A giant vat of red liquid blocks access to a locked room. You must find five valves scattered through corridors — each named after a Playtime Co. employee — activate them all to turn every indicator light green, then pull the blue lever to drain the gel and open the red door.

TL;DR

Locate and activate all 5 employee-named valves, then pull the blue lever to drain the red liquid

Level 9–10 — ReanimationReanimation

The Gel Immersion Chamber is encountered towards the end of Poppy Playtime Chapter 5's story, in the Reanimation area. Players come across a giant vat of red liquid (Poppy Gel) with the names of Playtime Co. employees written on the wall beside it. The five valves are named after employees: Carmine, Harley, Anthony, Evelyn, and Bruno. Each valve is hidden in a different corridor branching off from the main chamber, and activating each one lights up a corresponding indicator on the wall. Unlike the timing-based Engineering Power puzzle, this is an exploration puzzle — the challenge is navigating the maze-like corridors and finding all five valves without getting lost. The employee names on the valves tie into the game's lore about Playtime Co. workers who were involved in the Reanimation experiments. After draining the red liquid and entering the room, you find the Loopsy Noodle collectible doll — one of the Wrongside Outimal collectibles needed for 100% completion. This puzzle is preceded by the Memories Machine quest and followed by the Grand Stitchery power puzzle, making it part of the extended Reanimation gauntlet in the final third of Chapter 5.

Steps

  1. 1Arrive at the Gel Immersion Chamber in the Reanimation area — note the giant vat of red liquid and employee names on the wall
  2. 2Pull the yellow lever on the right side to start the puzzle
  3. 3Activate Carmine's valve — located immediately to the right of the yellow lever
  4. 4Head into the corridors — at the intersection, go forward into the well-lit area to find and activate Harley's valve
  5. 5Return to the intersection and turn left through the unlocked double doors
  6. 6Continue forward past a valve you'll see ahead (skip it for now) — turn left through the Poppy Gel-covered doors
  7. 7Activate Anthony's valve inside the Poppy Gel-covered area
  8. 8From Anthony's valve, turn right and follow the corridor to the end to find and activate Evelyn's valve
  9. 9Exit the corridors into the open area and turn left to find and activate Bruno's valve — the fifth and final valve
  10. 10From Bruno's valve, turn right and follow the corridors back to the Gel Immersion Chamber
  11. 11Pull the blue lever on the left side to drain all the red liquid from the vat
  12. 12Wait for the red door to open, then enter to collect the Loopsy Noodle collectible doll

Common Mistakes

Forgetting to pull the yellow lever first — the puzzle won't start without it

Getting lost in the corridors — the layout branches multiple times and it's easy to lose orientation

Missing Anthony's valve — it requires going through the Poppy Gel-covered doors to the left, which is easy to overlook

Missing Evelyn's valve — it's at a dead end branching off from Anthony's location

Pulling the blue lever before all five indicator lights are green — the drain won't activate

Skipping the valve visible in the corridor (going for it out of order can cause confusion about which ones you've activated)

Not checking the wall indicator lights to track which valves have been activated

Forgetting to collect the Loopsy Noodle collectible after draining the liquid

Confusing the yellow lever (start) with the blue lever (drain) — yellow is on the right, blue is on the left

FAQ

How do I solve the Gel Immersion Chamber puzzle in Poppy Playtime Chapter 5?
Pull the yellow lever to start, then find and activate all five employee-named valves: Carmine (by yellow lever), Harley (forward at intersection), Anthony (through Poppy Gel doors), Evelyn (dead end past Anthony), and Bruno (outside, turn left). Return and pull the blue lever to drain the red liquid.
What are all the valve names and locations in the Gel Immersion Chamber?
The five valves are: (1) Carmine — right of yellow lever, (2) Harley — forward into the well-lit area at the intersection, (3) Anthony — left through Poppy Gel-covered doors, (4) Evelyn — right from Anthony, at the dead end, (5) Bruno — exit to open area, turn left. Activate all five and pull the blue lever.
I'm lost in the Gel Immersion corridors — how do I navigate?
From the main chamber, the corridors branch at an intersection. Go forward first for Harley's valve, then backtrack and go left through double doors. Turn left again through Poppy Gel-covered doors for Anthony, right for Evelyn. Exit outside and turn left for Bruno. Follow the corridors right from Bruno to return to the main chamber.
What is the reward for solving the Gel Immersion Chamber puzzle?
After draining the red liquid and entering the room, you collect the Loopsy Noodle doll — one of the Wrongside Outimal collectibles required for 100% completion in Chapter 5.
Do I need any specific hand ability for the Gel Immersion Chamber?
No specific hand ability is required for the main valve puzzle. The valves are standard interactive objects. However, you need the Pressure Hand to smash through certain Poppy Gel obstacles in the corridors to reach some valves.
